Hydroseeding (which also means hydraulic mulch seeding) can be define as a process of mixing correct proportions of water, seeds, fertilizer, tackifier with wood or straw fiber mulch and spraying onto allocated areas of land.

Some hydroseeding mixtures contain bonding elements to hold the mixtures together in an application. Hydroseeding mainly means a process of spraying all the lawn components in a single step of a mixture known as slurry.

The preferable times for hydroseeding are autumn and spring; however, hydroseeding can also be carried out throughout the year by the professional with the right weather conditions to bring good results.

Plant hormones, microbial bacteria, soil amendment, and tackifier are some of the hydroseed mixture additives to improve seed germination to enhance ideal and eco-friendly growing environment that aids soil stabilization, moisture retention, fight diseases and as well give valuable plant nutrients. There are different types of hydroseeding or mulch options for various applications.
